Beautiful Baby Shower!
Aunties-to-be Steph and Wendy hosted a beautiful shower for our sweet girl on November 12.
They attended to every detail and the result was an amazing afternoon full of fabulous food, fun friends, and pink and green everywhere! This is one lucky baby, and we are truly blessed to have such thoughtful and loving sisters!

Whooo's having a baby girl?
Aunt Jayne and Andrea hosted a beautiful shower for all of the ladies in our our families. They are so creative and thoughtful, and planned a wonderful fall afternoon full of delicious food, delightful details, and adorable owls.
It was such a special day and so much fun. And everyone was so generous! We are definitely more ready for Baby B and are so fortunate to be bringing her into such a loving family.

Marvelous Monday Ride
Woah baby!! We rode 100 miles today, and four members were added to our team's Century Club: Eric, Katie, Matt, and Cindy. What a great ride... but long. We pulled out of our campsite at 5:45 and pulled into camp at 5:15. But we wouldn't trade that time for all of the cool things we did and saw!
We passed through a few really cool towns. Pocahontas was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed Chris Cakes for breakfast. Even though MPI has been on RAGBRAI five towns now, he had never met Chris himself. Lucky Katie met him on her very first time!
Once again, lots of great food, and once again, we pulled into an ideal campsite. Co-captain Steph pulled out of camp even before we did and was the first captain to reach the campsite. We are the luckiest riders on RAGBRAI!

Sweet Sunday Ride
We had a great ride on Sunday! The weather was great - sunny, not too hot - and the food was even better!!
We took off after dipping our back tires in the Missouri River and started our journey west. We had lots of hills, but great stops along the way. Pastafari and free watermelon were definitely highlights of the day, but - by far - the best thing was riding into Storm Lake to see the amazing campsite co-captains Steph and Uncle Doug set up for us. Talk about awesome!! Right on the lake, close to downtown, not loud, and very shady! We couldn't ask for anything more, and our shower was admired by every single person who walked by. What an awesome day!

From Ohio to Iowa...
We had a great, safe trip to Iowa! We left Cincinnati on Friday afternoon, headed toward Davenport. We had a delicious birthday dinner for Katie at Culver's in Illinois, We crossed the Mississippi River and officially entered Iowa just after the sun set.
Saturday morning, we rose bright and early to continue our journey to Sioux City. It was fun to drive across Iowa, and see names on signs of towns we had passed through in 2008.
We arrived in Sioux City early enough to get a great campsite in the Riverfront Park. We also had adventures to Nebraska and South Dakota! What a great way to start the week.

And we're off!
The Flying PIgs are headed to Iowa for RAGBRAI 2010! We're headed to Davenport Friday, then on to Sioux City on Saturday, and begin riding on Sunday. We're so excited!!

Happy Anniversary!
June 10, 2010... four years go by so fast! We had a wonderful dinner at Orchcids, followed by dessert and drinks at The Cricket.

Fall Fun!
We had a very fun and festive fall! All kinds of events from Halloween to birthdays, Bengals games and leaf piles. It was a good time to keep settling in to our new home!

Katie and Jon's Wedding
Katie and Jon had a beautiful August day for their wedding. The church was beautiful, the bride looked amazing, and a good time was had by all. It was so fun to be there to celebrate. Best wishes, Mr. and Mrs. Feldkamp!

Brian and Sarah's wedding was so special, and so much fun! It was fun to see lots of Lehigh friends, and to spend time hanging out, drinking, and best of all - dancing! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Steib! We were so happy to be there for their big day.

Boston
We headed east early and spent a day in Boston. A visit to Harvard, a Duck Tour, seafood lunch, enjoying a Sam Adams at the bar across from his grave, and a Bengals victory. Pete and Shalan were wonderful tour guides. Check out the photos.

Rocky Mountain High
Words cannot describe what a great time we had and what wonderful sights we saw in Colorado! In our week there we did so much, and saw so many things we will always remember. Check out the photos... but they do not do it justice!

Happy Fourth of July!
We spent the long weekend with Meg and her family on lovely Walloon Lake in Michigan, Up North. We had a great time enjoying the scenery and just hanging out. Good times!

Ride Cincinnati
Earlier this summer, Team KyKy rode together to support breast cancer research. It was a beautiful day for a 65 mile ride along scenic Kentucky Route 8. Most of all, it supported a great cause.

We got to spend the evening with Texas' cutest one year old! Brady is just adorable, and we had a very fun Friday night.

We did it!
Seven days, 485 miles. On Saturday morning, we dipped our tires in the Mississippi River. One day while we were riding someone passed by; the back of his shirt it said: "The journey is the destination." That couldn't be more true about our RAGBRAI adventure. From the 4-H baby pigs just outside of Boone to the lovingly restored and maintained turn-of-the-century grocery store in State Center, the little twin sisters with their map of the U.S. near Lisbon, and the Root Beer Guy always less than 10 miles from the day's end, each piece of the journey made dipping our tires all the more special.
While driving home yesterday, we reminisced about each day of our trip. We volunteered to write up our memoirs, so check the RAGBRAI page regularly for more updates and photos throughout the week.
Most of all, thanks to everyone for your support. Your encouragement gave us the strength we needed!
